Birthday Cards

It's always a privilege to be asked to make cards for a special occasion.  In early December, I was asked to make cards for a 90th Birthday as these were proving hard to find in shops.

I have found that I have turned to my scoring board lots recently and I think this effect really  makes projects look classy but with minimal effort.  The paper is Twitterpated with my last remaining bit of pleated ribbon (sadly no longer available).   The pearl jewels finish the project.  I think this will also look lovely on a vintage scrapbook page (one of many planned projects for 2013).

Two of my favourite colours - Night of Navy & Very Vanilla.  The vintage wallpaper embossing folder is another product that never fails to deliver classy projects.

Happy Crafting!

For Christmas I got......

...... my internet back up & running again!  Finally after many phone calls and an IT clever Husband, our internet is working again.

I hope you had a great Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year.

Christmas has been a lovely family time for us and I did manage to craft a few bits before Christmas including some cards for a colleague's Nan's 90th Birthday.  Photos later.

I have had tables at recent Made with Love Craft Fairs in and around the Gosport area which have been good fun and I have been lucky to meet really nice people, some that share a crafting passion too.  These Fairs are continuing into 2013 and I am in the early days of planning demos and card make-&-takes by me for both beginners and experts alike at some of these Fairs.  I will update this page with the details.

For me, the New Year is always a good time to get excited about crafting again after the planning and rushing about in the lead-up to Christmas and January will be bringing some fabulous Stampin' Up offers -  more details in early 2013.  If you interested in holding a workshop in your own home, please do get in contact with me to discuss arranging one and talking through the Hostess benefits for me.

Workshops also  provide a great opportunity to get together with friends and if you are looking for an alternative Baby Shower or Hen Gathering, then a workshop can offer this too.

As I find the children that receive presents from us are now getting bigger, i seem to rely on the Gift Voucher more & more.  I like to incorporate a bar of chocolate in with the voucher/money which somehow seems a bit more substantial.  Here I have used a 1" circle punch a lot but have also managed to use one of my favourite Christmas Stampin' Up! products - Glitter Card.

I did use some gold glitter card for Santa's belt buckle but forgot to photograph those!  Anyway, I think they're really sweet.  I have seen the reindeer idea on other websites so can't attribute any one person to the design idea.  However as always what's lovely about the crafting communities is we all share which inspires others and allows us to grow in confidence too.

I also couldn't resist making these cheeky little gift tags.

Enjoy your day, whether you are back at work or relaxing.
